Very cunning! I'm a long time Citrix server administrator (that's what took me to the Dark Side (from Unix to Windows) and I've never recovered), so it's interesting to see what a decent techy can do in a locked-down systems like that.

We run AppSense which blocks off users from running anything we've not installed, so I think that would prevent the server-side .vbs from running on our systems. Just don't go mentioning AppSense to your Citrix server admins :-)

I'm not there any more, so I just unlocked the post to public view rather than friends only :)

You'd need to have remote desktop access through Citrix rather than just published apps for it to work I think. I imagine the general principle is useful for other remoting scenarios where the clipboard is the only way of communicating - VNC and RDC too.

I was wondering why it'd only just appeared since it's old, but realised that its because I use Google Reader, which can't cope with authenticated RSS feeds, so I only get to see public posts... Wonder what else I'm missing, perhaps should go back to reading direct on LJ :-)
